Heartthrob Austin Butler recently revealed that he once auditioned for the leading male role in the 2012 The Hunger Games film but sadly, did not receive any update.
“I don’t even think I got a callback,” Butler said, “for the character Peeta.”
The role, as we all know, went to actor Josh Hutcherson, who starred alongside Jennifer Lawrence, who booked the role as Katniss. And as for Butler, he’s doing just fine despite the disappointment, going as far as being casted as Elvis and getting an Oscar nomination for Best Actor just last year.
All’s well that ends well!
