
PAS secretary-general Takiyuddin Hassan claims the country could fall under some kind of “DAP control” if the Urban Renewal Bill is passed in the Dewan Rakyat.
Speaking at a rally objecting the bill here today, Takiyuddin called DAP the “Developers’ Action Party”, and blamed it for the URA (Urban Renewal Act), which he dubbed the “Urban Robbery Act”.
He singled out housing and local government minister Nga Kor Ming, who is from DAP, for his alleged “considerable authority” over land acquisition and urban redevelopment projects.
“That is what we need to understand,” the Kota Bharu MP said at a combined rally to oppose the Urban Renewal Bill and to show solidarity for a Gaza aid flotilla intercepted by Israeli defence forces.
