Part of the video many have caught member Jennie featured in the video acting as a nurse treating herself as a patient while she raps the lyrics, “No doctor could help when I’m lovesick”.
Many of the girl group’s fans and critics called them out, including the Korean Health and Medical Worker’s Union, says that Jennie’s costume nurse portrayal outfit gives in to stereotypes of nurses.
They also felt discomfort over the outfit, which can be seen clearly to be a tight-fitting, short dress with red high heels, claiming it sexualizes the nurse image.
