A Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) leader has dismissed repeated claims by Umno’s Bung Moktar Radin that the coalition is the most ineffective state government, saying the former deputy chief minister was a failure himself during his time in the state works ministry.
Armizan Mohd Ali said that Bung, who was dropped from Hajiji Noor’s Cabinet following a failed coup in 2023, had failed to resolve the state’s water woes.
He said the Sabah Umno chief, throughout his two years in office, failed to roll out any major projects to ensure consistent water supply in areas such as Tawau.
In fact, construction of the Cinta Mata 2 water treatment plant and upgrading works at the Kogopon water treatment plant in Papar only commenced after Bung was out of the state government, he said.
