Britney had been treated like a media circus for years now but that won’t be the case for much longer…
The pop star will personally address the Los Angeles court dealing with her long-running conservatorship, a judge agreed on Tuesday. Spears’ court-appointed lawyer, Samuel Ingham III, agreed with Judge Brenda Penny on a June 23 date.
The 39-year old performer has been under a conservatorship by her father, Jamie Spears, since 2008, but she rarely attends court hearings and has yet to publicly comment on the legal arrangement where a court-appointed adviser controls her personal and financial affairs, which includes medical treatment, security, and career.
“My client (Britney Spears) has requested a hearing at which she can address the court directly,” the singer’s lawyer Samuel Ingham told the court on Tuesday. “My client has asked that it be done on an expedited basis.”
It is not known exactly what matters the singer wishes to address.
Through Ingham, Spears has been pushing for more transparency in the court proceedings and documents of the conservatorship, and it seems that her fans are right behind her with their full support.

On Tuesday, about 50 fans from the #FreeBritney movement crowded outside the downtown courthouse carrying signs that read “CONSERVATORSHIP IS SLAVERY” and “THIS IS TOXIC”. One woman even wore a #FreeBritney T-shirt with her head shaved in solidarity with Spears, who did the same just before the conservatorship was put in place.
Spears herself has acknowledged in court documents and on social media regarding the support she has gotten from fans.

Besides her fans, Spears’ number one supporter is her sister Jamie Lynn Spears. She once shared a post to her Instagram Stories which was a quote that said,
“Everyone you meet is fighting a battle you know nothing about. Be kind. Always”
The singer then added a message of her own which read,
“Dear media, try not to repeat the mistakes of your past. Look where that got us. Do better.”
