Drake Bell From ‘Drake and Josh’ Has Been Arrested For Crimes Against Children

American actor Drake Bell who is most commonly known for starring as Drake in the hit Nickelodeon series “Drake and Josh” has been detained and charged with attempted endangering children and disseminating matter harmful to juveniles.

 

 

According to the statements from court documents, the actor pleaded not guilty in Cuyahoga County Court on June 3rd and was freed on a $2,500 personal bond ordering him to have no contact with his alleged victim.

According to Fox 8 in Cleveland, Drake Bell allegedly engaged in an inappropriate chat with a minor that “at times, was sexual in nature.”

 

The incident in question reportedly took place on December 1st 2017, the same day Drake was scheduled to perform at Cleveland Club The Odeon. However, he was not indicted until last month, and he is due back in court on June 23rd.

The American actor’s mugshot taken at Cuyahoga County Jail is dated Thursday, June 3rd, just before 3 p.m. He was asked to submit DNA, a standard practice in Ohio.

“Drake and Josh,” which you may remember as the television series of your childhood, which followed stepbrothers Drake Parker (Bell) and Josh Nichols (Josh Peck), debuted in 2004 and ran for four seasons, ending in 2017. The epic sitcom, which also spawned three TV movies, was one of Nickelodeon’s highest-rated programs, averaging about three million viewers at the time.

Drake was responsible for the show’s opening theme song, “I Found a Way,” and has released several albums throughout his career, including 2005’s “Telegraph,” 2006’s “It’s Only Time,” 2014’s “Ready Steady Go!” and 2020’s “Sesiones En Casa.”
