Frustrated With Her Breaking The Law, Malaysians Petition To Have Neelofa Sent To Prison

Things are getting serious.

It’s safe to say that, at present, when you hear the name ‘Neelofa’ you’re going to think: “What did she do this time?”. An assumption brought about by the fact that she’s been in the spotlight for multiple COVID SOP breaches over the past few weeks. These breaches have led to occasions where the police have been called to investigate the apparent flouting of the law – from her wedding ceremony with PU Riz, to her interstate travels to purchase carpets. Recently she was called out for her Hari Raya gathering in a residence somewhere in Ampang.

It seems that Malaysians have had enough of her antics this time, with countless allegations of not following government orders. Netizens have banded together to ask that a tougher punishment is given to the popular celebrity.

Titled Langgar SOP: PDRM, Penjarakan Neelofa Segera” (Breaching SOP: PDRM, Imprison Neelofa Immediately), an individual started a petition to ensure the celebrity receives the punishment she deserves after committing a series of offences.

Among the offences listed in the petition are as follows:

  1. The wedding between Neelofa & PU Riz at the Grand Hyatt – March 2021 (Action has been taken)
  2. Honeymoon in Langkawi Island – March 2021 (No legal action has been taken)
  3. Interstate travel to Nilai 3, Negeri Sembilan without a legitimate reason, went to a carpet shop instead – May 2021 (No legal action has been taken)
  4. Neelofa and her whole family gathering in a house during Hari Raya – May 2021 (Breached Hari Raya SOPs, no legal action taken)

At the time of writing, the petition had more than 2000 signatures indicating the public’s agreement to the cause. With what seems like a serious objective towards the intention, what do you think of this movement?
