HAHA Someone Tried To Tell Emilia Clarke To Get Face Fillers & Her Response Is GOLD

Emilia Clarke is known for being an amazing actress and an even more amazing person. She’s always got a wide smile on her face and her bubbly personality means she’s always laughing and excited. As such, it’s hard to imagine the English actress being stern.

However, Clarke found herself having to be just that after receiving unsolicited skincare advice. During a recent interview with Elle UK, the ‘Game of Thrones’ actress recalled a time, specifically one where she was given the “worst skincare advice”, and it was when she had been told her to get fillers.

Her response to the suggestion?

“I showed her the door. I was literally just like, ‘get out,'”

Clarke was only 28 and having been in the industry for over 5 years at the time, the suggestion wasn’t exactly something she hadn’t already contemplated.

“You hear about all your contemporaries getting it done and you’re like, ‘Does that mean I have to? Should I be doing that?’. And then you work on a movie and the director of photography lights you beautifully and you get over it.”

However, she isn’t completely against the idea. Explaining that she’s “petrified” and while she “definitely [doesn’t] want it now”, she might change her mind later. At present, she is more concerned about the fact that getting work done is normal and should she ever be asked to get botox done for a job, she says she’ll “stop doing the job.” After all, as an actress, being able to emote is important.

“I work in an industry where I’ve got to move my face, and I’ve got to be expressive, and you can’t light filler. You just can’t light it. It doesn’t look right, you look shiny and strange.”

She makes a very good point, I mean, would she have been able to whip out this amazing clip if she had gone ahead with the fillers?

The ‘Me Before You’ actress credits her mother as an inspiration for loving the natural ageing process, saying that she’s never had work done and “she’s incredibly beautiful”. Even now, as she looks at older women and actors “who are f****** beautiful”, she realises that “what your skin does as you age is elegant”.

“At 34, I am wiser, more intelligent, I’ve had more experiences, I’ve done all this stuff and I’m proud of that. So, if my face is gonna reflect the time that I’ve spent on this earth, I’m down for that.”
