‘Influencer’ Spends RM623,000 On Plastic Surgery To Look Like BTS Jimin

Are you a fan of the K-pop phenomenon that is BTS?

We’re sure you know or have heard of Jimin (whose real name is Park Ji-min), a 26-year-old member of BTS.

If not, well, this is him:

With his good looks, it’s no surprise that Jimin has his fair share of fans – both women and men – around the globe. Interestingly, one such fan (who also happens to be a London-based “influencer”) named Oli London has reportedly spent $150,000 (RM623,000) on plastic surgery – through 18 different procedures – to look like Jimin. In an interview with Barcoft TV, Oli revealed that their (Olie identifies as non-binary) journey to changing their looks to mirror Jimin’s started way back in 2018. They have since been in the public eye through various TV appearances, even showing up in the US. According to reports in Harian Metro, Oli has said:

“I do not plan to change my nationality because I want to respect Korean culture. It is common knowledge that Korea is very famous for plastic surgery and what I am doing is just to appreciate and respect Korean culture, not cultural appropriation,”

In a separate statement to Sky News, Oli elaborated:

“I know a lot of people don’t understand me, but I do identify as Korean and I do look Korean now, I do feel Korean… That’s just my culture. That’s my home country. That’s exactly how I look now. And I also identify as Jimin, that’s my career name.”
