Must be love on the brain, that’s got [them] feeling this way ~
The musical duo first sparked romance rumours late last year, with sources confirming with both PEOPLE and Entertainment Tonight that Rihanna and A$AP Rocky were indeed an item. However, neither party have actually publically addressed the rumours – until now.
In his latest interview with GQ, a bombshell (is it still fair to call it one?) is dropped: “A$AP Rocky is dating Rihanna.” Not only that, the ‘Wild For The Night’ rapper confirmed that – get this – his new album All Smiles is “absolutely” influenced by Rihanna.
And while the rest of us know her as Rihanna – the triple-A-list pop star, wildly successful fashion and beauty entrepreneur – he refers to her as “The love of my life,” and “My lady.” He goes on to say that life is so much better with her around, sharing:
“So much better. So much better when you got the One. She amounts to probably, like, a million of the other ones. I think when you know, you know. She’s the One.”
Rumours over whether the stars were dating began as early as 2013, when the rapper supported Rihanna on her Diamonds World Tour. However, since Rihanna’s split from billionaire boyfriend Hassan Jameel in January 2020, these rumours came back in full force. It didn’t help that the musical talents were seen together on multiple occasions. Most covered, was the pairs – both aged 32 – dinner with their group of friends in New York back in December. They have even been spotted attending a party hosted by RiRi’s ex (Drake) together.

The longtime friends have even worked together on various projects. Notably, Rihana was featured in ASAP Rocky’s 2013 video ‘Fashion Killa’, while Rihanna featured both Rakim Athelaston Mayers (A$AP’s real name) and Lil Nas X in her Fenty Skin campaign.
“They have always had amazing chemistry and Rihanna relates to A$AP and it feels natural, easy and fun. She feels very comfortable around him since they’ve known each other for such a long time and also feels a connection to him because his dad is from Barbados.”
As if to further prove this point, the friends turned (possible) lovers – honestly, the two haven’t confirmed their pairing yet… – chemistry is nothing short of electric! The charm and connection is obvious during an interview for GQ magazine, where A$AP was made to answer 18 questions as asked by Rihanna herself. The 12-minute clip has tonnes of cute moments, notably where A$AP says that the hardest part of working with the Barbadian singer is to stop himself from “having too much fun” and answering “handsome” when asked for his skin type.
