She did it again! Malaysia’s No.1 singer Datuk Seri Siti Nurhaliza Tarudin opens up 2021 with a huge success and recognition after garnering six wins at JOOX’s Top Music Awards 2020 recently.
The songstress was named Most Popular Local Artiste, Top 5 Local Artiste for the Year End 2020 and Top 5 Local Artiste of 2020. In the song category, Siti’s hit single Aku Bidadari Syurgamu won Most Popular Local Song, Top 5 Local Hit for the Year End 2020 and Top 5 Local Hit for 2020—beating famous international artists including Justin Bieber and BTS.
“This is the sweetest success and a great opening for 2021,” said Siti in an IGTV via her Instagram account. The 42-years-old beauty also added that she was pleasantly surprised that she had raked in more wins than international acts such as Justin Bieber and BTS who each garnered five wins as revealed by the organiser.
She then addend, “Thank you to fans who have kept supporting me all this while. I also thank Joox for the recognition and for organising this event.’’
JOOX, a popular streaming platform in Asia, organised Joox’s Top Music Awards 2020 to recognise the achievements of local music artistes throughout 2020. The event was divided into Year End 2020, Full Year 2020 and Most Popular Awards.
