Honestly, we couldn’t see a better fit to portray Wednesday Addams in the new show!
The streaming giant’s official synopsis for Wednesday follows;
“The series is a sleuthing, supernaturally infused mystery charting Wednesday Addams’ years as a student at Nevermore Academy. Wednesday’s attempts to master her emerging psychic ability, thwart a monstrous killing spree that has terrorized the local town, and solve the supernatural mystery that embroiled her parents 25 years ago — all while navigating her new and very tangled relationships at Nevermore.”
According to Variety, the first season will consist of eight episodes. Tim Burton himself is going to direct and produce the series while Al Gough and Miles Millar will serve as showrunners and executive producers.
The Addams Family has been a classic favorite for many fans and for many years as a TV series in the 1960s, a live-action film series in the 90s, and the recent animated film adaptations. They’re all based on the characters created by Charles Addams in the 1900s.
