Wake up, Malaysia.
As time passes, it seems like the novel Coronavirus pandemic situation in the country is getting worse. Cases are rising and hospitals are filling to the brim.
Maybe it was the perfect time for TV3 to air this COVID-19 documentary, which showcased the truth of the situation in hospitals that treat COVID patients.
A short clip from the documentary was posted by a cardiologist from IJN (The National Heart Institute) Dr Beni Rusani on his Twitter platform @DrBeniRusani showing the grim reality of the pandemic.
Could happen to anyone.

The video shows a doctor holding a smartphone towards a COVID patient who we assume was taking their final breath and saying their goodbyes to their loved ones. Four hours later it seems that the patient passed away.
Dr Beni captioned the video “Could happen to anyone” indicating that the events showed in the documentary aren’t exclusive to certain parties, but really anyone in the country, or even the world.
The video, which at the time of writing has gotten more than 200,000 views has spread concern and worry among Malaysians that if they do not take care of themselves in terms of obeying the SOPs set by the government, things can and will be a reality for others.
Here are some of the reactions:

This user was very firm about what was told in the documentary as he shared the link to the full episode:
In case yall need the full video. here you go. Please DO NOT TAKE THIS LIGHTLY. Learn about your surrounding and don’t just wait for central bodies to give instructions. https://t.co/hCwIejlZ0W

This user shared their experience going through the exact same unfortunate event: I faced this experience back in February 2021. Exactly the same. Voice called my late father when he was in the ICU and a few hours after that the hospital called to inform me that my father was gone. It broke me that I could not see him in real life. Please take care of yourselves, don’t go out unnecessarily, and take care of your parents who are still alive.
Hmm dah ada pengalaman camni bulan February 2021. Exactly the same. Vc arwah ayah time dia dalam icu and beberapa jam camtu hospital call ayah dah takde. Luluh hati sebab tak dapat tengok depan depan. Please semua jaga diri takyah la merayau and jaga mak ayah yang masih hidup 🙂

It’s clear as day now what our responsibility is. Take care of yourself and your loved ones. COVID is no joke and never has been. Obey the SOPs. Save a life.
