Yesterday, in conjunction with Father’s Day, social media timelines were flooded with wholesome posts of people sharing loving photos and videos of their fathers. But, a post about one father gained traction for a different reason. As shared on Twitter by @mohamadfarisss…
Happy Father’s Day.
Today’s the last day of Mcd’s RM2 for selected drinks so I went out to buy. As I reached a traffic light I saw a man walking towards the cars asking for donation but I didn’t get close to him as the light turned green- pic.twitter.com/pu37cYEj5M

In the thread, he shared a story of a man he stumbled upon while going to a fast food joint to buy some drinks.
As I moved forward, I read what’s written on the board he was holding and saw a white cat in a small carrier. I made a u-turn and called the man. I asked “kucing tu pak cik punya ke?” He said yes, he adopted the cat from R&R Elmina and he said he has 2 more cats.

To summarise, he explains that the man is unemployed but is capable of doing any task (not related to heavy lifting).
He’s 53 and he wants to find a job, I have his details and he saved my number as well. He told me that he’s capable of doing anything except for lifting heavy stuff due to back problems. How do I get in contact with the Adun/MP? pic.twitter.com/rPVNZGuR4w

He continued to share the living conditions the man is enduring:
Took another picture of this cutie while I sat down hearing his stories around 20 mins ?
He basically lives in his car, a red Proton Saga, around E-Boulevard Denai Alam area. pic.twitter.com/ooMl7Wn71h

Anyway the best way to help is to spread around and tag those who can help him! Tengok lah kucing ni tidur je tau pic.twitter.com/aVxvmZ7cM3

Netizens who saw his tweet empathized with the man’s plight, sharing the post requesting authorities for assistance.
This 53yo gentleman is living in his car (with his cats) and he is looking for a job so he can earn a living. Please help to amplify if you can. Fingers crossed there may be someone out there who can offer him gainful employment.
Location: E-Boulevard Denai Alam area.

This is the reality many Malaysians face during the MCO 3.0 or Total Lockdown. Fortunately, this man was lucky enough to have his story documented. You can also assist him by donating to the accounts stated by @mohamadfarisss in this tweet below.
Hi everyone, I believed there were too many transactions just now hence your transactions were declined. You may try now as a friend said she could transfer 🙂 Here are his details:
