Getting unmatched hurts, but Affleck spun his own comedic twist to the tragedy of modern dating. Instead of going down without a fight, he came up with a hilarious response that had the world in hysterics.

In the viral TikTok post by user Nivine Jay, she posted a video of herself with the words:

“Thinking of the time I matched with Ben Affleck on raya and thought it was fake so I unmatched him and he sent me a video on Instagram ☠️☠️☠️”

The video in question is of Affleck asking her, “Nivine, why did you unmatch me?” Poking fun at his own celebrity status, he added, “It’s me,” to the amusement of the commenters.

????HE SAID YOUR NAAAAAAAAME!!! Girl you better bring that to all job interviews???,” said a user, probably referencing auditions that Jay would go to, seeing that she is an actress.

Another user said:

“The way he said ‘its me’ my soul would have left my body.”

It was all fun and games until things spiralled out of control when some people’s perception of Affleck turned sour. Jay clarified that she had no ill will towards Affleck when she posted the video and insisted that Affleck “is not a creep”.

“I’m seeing a lot of comments calling him a creep and l don’t think that’s fair. l wasn’t making fun of him in the video,” Jay said.

She added,

“l was making fun of myself for thinking he was a catfish and it was just supposed to be funny.”

I mean, if the Batfleck matched with us on a dating app, we wouldn’t know how to act either!
