Warner Bros. Pictures has announced that Furiosa, the prequel to Mad Max: Fury Road, will be released in theaters on June 23, 2023.
Furiosa will be written, directed, and produced by George Miller, and will star Anya Taylor-Joy in the title role alongside Chris Hemsworth and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II. Miller wrote the script with his longtime partner, Oscar-nominated producer Doug Mitchell (Mad Max: Fury Road and Babe).
