Glen Powell Has Advice on Struggling to Cope Before Success

We’ve all been there!

Looks like even Hollywood star, Glen Powell, has had years of struggle before finally making a name for himself in Hollywood. During a recent interview, he candidly reflected on his battles while he was thriving to make it in the industry.

Powell made his film debut in 2003’s Spy Kids 3-D: Game Over, and later landed a role in The Great Debaters. When it comes to dealing with long gaps between jobs, Powell said,

“Even at the darkest moments in that town, when I really didn’t have anything happening, you sort of have to lie to yourself, at least a little bit, and act like this is that chapter of the story where things just aren’t going right.”

Powell supported himself by taking on small roles in movies and making guest appearances in TV shows, until he made it big in Top Gun: Maverick which also stars the one and only Tom Cruise. And since then, his career took an upwards flight with more films like Anyone But You and Twisters!

So pick yourself up the next time you’re down, and tell yourself that no storm lasts forever!
