Govt still strong despite Rafizi, Nik Nazmi’s exit, says Anwar

The Madani government remains strong despite the exit of Rafizi Ramli and Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad from the Cabinet, says Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim.

In a written parliamentary reply, Anwar said the government still enjoys “solid support” from all component parties that make up the current administration.

“Close cooperation and mutual respect among these parties form the foundation for continued governance and the implementation of the reform agenda,” he said.

Anwar said Rafizi and Nik Nazmi’s resignations were personal decisions they made based on their respective principles, and the government respected these decisions.

He also expressed confidence that both Rafizi and Nik Nazmi, the Pandan and Setiawangsa MPs, respectively, would continue to serve the public and contribute actively as members of Parliament…
