Malaysia has over 1,000 COVID-19 cases but why isn’t there a full lockdown?


As of 5th November 2020, Malaysia hit 4-digits yet again with COVID-19 case numbers.

The most recent number is 1,009 cases. The country also reported 6 new deaths, raising the national death toll to 277.

What is happening in Malaysia?

Despite the case numbers tripling since early October, the Malaysian government is resisting a “total lockdown” stating that they’ve now learnt how to curb the spread of the virus with targeted measures.
