In a new study published on scientific journal Current Biology, ecologists at Nara Women’s University in Japan have discovered that two species of Elysia cf. marginata sea slugs (also known as ‘sap-sucking’ sea slugs) are able to completely decapitate themselves and then grow new bodies, complete with new heart and other vital organs.
