Matt Bellamy, the frontman of British rock band Muse, has filed for divorce from his wife, Elle Evans, after seven years of marriage. The couple have two children together — a daughter and a son — and Matt is asking the court for sole legal and physical custody.
The pair tied the knot in August 2019 in Malibu, but announced their separation in mid-2025. At the time, Matt said the breakup was due to “really unexpected circumstances.”
In his divorce filing, Matt cites “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the split, while the date of separation is listed as “TBD.”
