Neve Campbell has confirmed she will return as Sidney Prescott in Scream 8, continuing her role in the long-running horror franchise. Campbell first played the character in the original Scream film in 1996.
The actress revealed the news during an interview with the Associated Press, saying the eighth instalment is in the pipeline but keeping further details under wraps.
Campbell previously skipped Scream 6 due to a salary dispute but returned for Scream 7, which was released in February 2026 and grossed US$207 million worldwide. Her return will mark another appearance as one of the franchise’s most recognisable characters.
