New COVID-19 mutations have been detected in Malaysia and Singapore


Just when we think that we can finally breathe a sigh of relief in 2021, new mutations of COVID-19 have been detected in Southeast Asia.

According to Malaysian Health director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah, the new strain has been dubbed A701V.

It was detected among 60 samples that were taken from the Benteng LD cluster in Sabah recently.
