A team of researchers from the University of Plymouth, UK, have discovered traces of microplastic on the highest point on Earth – Mount Everest.
Microplastics are tiny particles of plastic measuring less than 5 millimeters across and usually come from the breakdown of larger items.
Microplastics were previously found in the deepest point on Earth, the Mariana Trench. This new discovery on Mount Everest is worrying.
