Stan, best known for his roles as Carter Baizen in Gossip Girl and Bucky Barnes/The Winter Soldier in the Marvel Universe, has established a rapport for playing famous public figures in biopics.
He played Jeff Gilooly, the ex-husband of famous figure skater Tonya Harding in “I, Tonya”. Next, he famously played Motley Crue’s Tommy Lee. And there were rumours floating around that he would be playing wrestling legend Ric Flair, but looks like he’s landed the role of a young Donald Trump instead.
The movie titled “The Student” is directed by Iranian filmaker Ali Abbasi, and includes Emmy winner Jeremy Strong as Roy Cohn and Maria Bakalova as Ivana Trump.
While a release date has yet to be confirmed for “The Apprentice”, but representatives for the film confirmed that the movie has begun principal photography.
