In the movie named Novocaine, Quaid plays Nate Caine, a mild-mannered everyman who feels no pain even when shards of glass are embedded in his knuckles, or when he grabs a gun from a hot deep fryer. And when the girl of his dreams gets kidnapped, it is up to him to save her life.
