Fans of Harry Potter would be delighted to know that the boy wizard and his friends are coming back to Hogwarts!
The novels are now being adapted into a television series by HBO, reports Lucas Shaw at Bloomberg. Also, each novel would be covered in an entire season, which means we have more screentime to explore the Wizarding World created in the books without trimming things down to fit a movie-length feature.
The Hogwarts Legacy video game has also been making waves amongst fans, thus holding promise that there is still space for more projects and stories from the magical world created by J.K. Rowling. Rowling, however, would not be running the show or serve as a primary creator. She would instead take the role of an advisor and ensure that the series remain loyal to its source material.
Fans can expect new faces taking over the roles of Harry Potter, Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley — who were brought to life by Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint respectively.
It’s too early to expect a release date, but we will be waiting!
