SpongeBob SquarePants is turning 25! And to celebrate, Nickelodeon has pulled out all the stops at this year’s Comic-Con in San Diego.
Mark Hamill made a surprise appearance to reveal that he would be voicing The Flying Dutchman in the fourth SpongeBob film, titled The SpongeBob Movie: Search for SquarePants. The movie is eyeing for a 2025 release.
Derek Drymon, who also directed some of the previous SpongeBob films, is set to direct the film. Voice cast of Tom Kenny, Clancy Brown, Rodger Bumpass, Bill Fagerbakke, Carolyn Lawrence, and Mr. Lawrence would all return to reprise their roles.
