Max George, the lead vocalist of boy band The Wanted, has opened up about his heart condition, explaining that he needs surgery “way quicker than the doctors first thought”.
The 36-year-old singer was taken into hospital on Wednesday. He had been diagnosed with a 2:1 block in is heart, where the heart beats more slowly or with an abnormal rhythm due to a problem with the electrical pulses.
Citing that although it is a scary time for him, he hopes to be out of the hospital by Christmas.
Aside from George, The Wanted rose to fame in the early 2010s with band members Siva Kaneswaran, Nathan Sykes, Jay McGuiness and Tom Parker. Parker passed away from brain cancer in 2022 at the age of 33.
