Let’s face it. Animals are better than humans. Yes, nature dictates that they eat each other as part of the circle of life. But when faced with a common challenge, animals will band together and overcome their differences to survive. Humans? There are just too many zombie movies that show otherwise.
This theory is put to test in Flow, when a group of animals are forced to share a boat and navigate rising waters in a post-apocalyptic world. Focusing on a nameless black cat, the visually poetic film has no dialogue nor human characters, as the feline protagonist journeys alongside a group of animals, including a dog, capybara, lemur, and secretary bird.
