US singer Chris Brown kicks off his tour in Manchester, just days before he is due back in court after being arrested in the city last month.
The Grammy-winning star performed at Manchester’s Co-op Live arena on Sunday, with more stadium dates scheduled in other cities.
However, on Friday, Brown is set to appear in court in London for the latest hearing after he was charged with grievous bodily harm over an alleged assault in a nightclub in 2023. He is free on a £5m bail, but has not been asked to enter a plea.
The 36-year-old is facing accusation of inflicting an “unprovoked attack” on a music producer with a tequila bottle at a nightclub in London while on his last UK tour in 2023.
