PETALING JAYA:

The Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) said suspension and fines may be meted out after Sabah futsal head coach Roger Filipe Augusto was punched by one of his own team officials after a futsal match against Johor Darul Takzim (JDT) yesterday.

Its secretary-general Noor Azman Rahman said match officials and referees will have to submit a full report on the incident for the FAM disciplinary committee to evaluate.

“We are reviewing the incident and awaiting reports from match officials and referees. All information will be compiled and submitted to the disciplinary committee for further action.

“If found liable, the coach concerned could face suspension and a fine,” he was quoted as saying by Berita Harian.
