Bills on Islamic schools, religious administration to be tabled at Perak assembly
Two bills, including one on Islamic religious schools, will be tabled at the upcoming Perak state assembly sitting from Sept 9 to 11, says Speaker Zahir Abdul Khalid.
Zahir said Perak menteri besar Saarani Mohamad would table the Islamic Religious Schools Control Enactment (Perak) 2025 and Islamic Religious Administration Enactment (Perak) (Amendment) 2025.
“In addition, there will also be an oral question-and-answer session for 90 minutes during the sitting,” Bernama quoted him as saying at a press conference at the Perak Darul Ridzuan building.
Separately, Zahir said state opposition leader Razman Zakaria remains barred from attending the sitting as his six-month suspension is still in effect.
