
Non-Malaysian workers holding a visitor’s pass for temporary employment or an employment pass will be automatically registered as members starting this month, EPF announced today.
In a statement, EPF said the move removes the need for employees to visit its offices, as employers can verify registration details online via i-Akaun (Employer).
It added that the affected employers have been informed of the new process through notices issued since Sept 20.
“They are required to schedule an appointment via the URL link provided in the notice to register employees who were not successfully registered automatically, as well as to update information and verify thumbprints for employees who have been successfully registered,” it said.
