What Are You Grateful For During MCO? #TerkiniWithNandini

today21 April 2020

Background

In light with the Movement Control order (MCO) citizens were required to abide by the regulations by staying home, but have you wondered how the less fortunate are coping with this?

In this episode of #TerkiniwithNandini Fly’s Am Mayhem and Nandini discuss on being grateful for the simple luxuries we have, but we take for granted.

Nandini expressed, how many of us are the first to complain when things do not go as we plan, but maybe there is a silver lining in MCO after all!

For instance the pollution rate in Malaysia alone has gone down immensely, or simply having food in your kitchens.

“A lot of us are coming from a privilege stand point, being grateful and being able to look at the situation with a positive light can only come with a financial security safety net! We still get to keep or jobs, our families are alive and well, and fortunately not affected by COVD-19.

This is a really important time to be compassionate and show empathy towards those who can’t, because a lot of people in the world don’t have that simple luxury”. – Nandini

Many of us don’t realize the battle against COVID-19 is affecting a large part of the population and are probably having a difficult time dealing with it all.

Frontliners are risking their lives every single day making sure our safety is their utmost priority or individuals and families who are less fortunate and can’t afford the means to purchase food due to them getting let go. With that being said, we have blessings all around us, appreciate them.

“Appreciate all the moments, right?!” – Hafiz

Watch the conversation down below:

In conclusion, its no doubt that this pandemic is a hard and stressful time for us all, the least we can do is to contribute and ease the burden of the frontliners by #stayathome but if you have funds to spare please don’t forget the less fortunate #kitajagakita.
