Selena Gomez gave Demi Lovato a shout out for her songwriting skills
And while Demi just dropped a breakup song titled ‘’Still Have Me’’ which is fully about Max Ehrich—we’re gonna get to that later—Selena took a moment to record a new video that she filmed during a Google event. She praised Demi and said, “I think we have some of the best lyricists in the game right now. Dua and Ariana, Taylor, Demi—these artists are just lifting up the game with their lyrics. It makes me so happy.” Awww.

Well, this isn’t the first time that Sel is doing a shout out for Demi. During Grammy Awards earlier this year—right after her performance—Selena quickly posted a screenshot of Demi’s singing on stage and wrote, “I wish there were words to describe how beautiful, inspirational, and DESERVED this moment was. Demi, I’m so happy for you. Thank you for your courage and bravery.”
When Selena made her first statement about Demi’s courage and bravery, Demi made it clear that even though they’re not friends anymore, she “will always have love for her.” That’s right. Girls support girls.
Oh and about *that* Demi Lovato song… she clearly turned to music and dropped a new song right after she called off her engagement to Max Ehrich. After his alleged shady online behavior and reportedly using her to further his Hollywood ambitions.
