Malaysian COVID-19 patients are being told to quarantine at home due to system overload

Malaysian Health Director-General Dr. Noor Hisham Abdullah is advising those with COVID-19 and not displaying any symptoms to isolate at home instead of the hospital.

This is much unlike early 2020 when all people tested positive were taken to the hospital, regardless of their symptoms.

Dr. Noor Hisham explains that this change of strategy has come about because the Malaysian Ministry of Health (MOH) is currently dealing with a heavy load of cases.
