China’s third highest-grossing film of all time, The Wandering Earth is loosely based on a novella by China’s first Hugo Award winner, Liu Cixin. The story follows a looming collision with Jupiter with Earth, and the fate of the latter lies in the hands of a few unexpected heroes.

4. The Ghost Bride

Directed by Malaysians Ho Yuhang and Quek Shio Chuan, the series takes place in Melaka during the 1890s where Li Lan finds herself linked to the afterworld after receiving a proposal to become the ghost bride to the deceased son of a wealthy family.

5. Ip Man
