The 23-year-old singer and actress shared her thoughts and sympathy over how the pop star was treated saying, “It made me so sad, just all the wrongs that society did to her. It’s disgusting what she went through, what she is still going through, the whole nine yards, it is literally terrible. And thank goodness they made the documentary so that people can change their f**king perception on situations.’’

Bella—who is also a former Disney starlet — revealed that she could relate to Britney Spears when she became bombarded by paparazzi and media scrutiny, in an interview with Page Six. “What they would say to get a reaction, the disgusting things that they would scream, ‘Oh should I f**k your sister too. Your sister can get it like this,'” she recalled.

“They’re physically on top of her, these flashes are right here, it’s, like, they’re hitting you with their camera, like—I know these type,” she said. “And I can only imagine then, and by looking at it, I was, like, by far this is the worst thing I’ve ever seen. People in your space, like, completely treating you as an object.”

She continued, “No one gives Disney kids enough f**king credit. Like, come on, Dove Cameron is one of the hardest workers I know, and she’s an amazing actress. And people still wanna say, ‘She’s Disney.’ It’s like an immediate ‘X’ mark that you have to work out of. ”

Sigh, it’s true. When asked whether the public scrutiny has ever gotten so bad that she’s considered leaving the entertainment industry, Thorne admitted, “I really want to be positive and say no, but the worse it gets, the more I do feel, like, how much of my mental stability am I willing to give to have the career that I want—that I’ve worked my whole f**king life for, every day of my life?”
