Celebrity couple Uqasha Senrose and Kamal Adli, both Malaysian artists, have revealed their plans to have three separate receptions to celebrate their wedding which is expected to be held during the middle of the year.
Kamal, best known for his work in Niyang Rapik and Kembar Siang, initially proposed to Uqasha on-stage at a local award show last December. He took the audience by surprise when he went down on one knee and held out a ring to Uqasha.
Phewww, that is one surprising additional slot to the awards show!
But the couple is said to have started dating two years ago since 2019, when they were paired together as co-stars in a local drama series called “Setelah Terlafaznya Akad”. Here’s a fun fact: Ironically in the series, their characters are married to each other….but by force! Another interesting fact, Michael Ang who is the screenwriter for the drama series, accidentally let it slip that the couple has attended a marriage course in Kuantan, Pahang during the shoot of the drama.
Uqasha, who is also a model, is no stranger to series adaptations of books, has also starred in a series called ‘Rahsia Hati Perempuan’. For her special day, Uqasha revealed:
“We will be having three separate receptions. One will be for family and close friends, as we have picked a location that is only limited to 350 persons. For the second reception, we will be inviting our fellow celebrity friends as well as the media. As for the third one, we welcome the fans to come join us in celebrating our big day. As of now, Alhamdulillah, 80% of the preparations are finished and we are hoping for the best wishes from everyone,”
Seeing as they have picked one of Malaysia’s highland tourism spots for their wedding, the couple hopes that the Covid-19 situation has improved in time for their big day so they would be allowed to travel between states during their receptions.
We wish the same too, and of course, we also wish the beautiful couple a long-lasting and happy marriage!
