A pet is so much more than a little furry buddy — it’s your best friend, your soulmate, and for some, your child. And losing a pet spells an awful heartbreak.
Award-winning actress Sarah Jessica Parker recently posted a photo of a black-and-white border collie alongside a heartfelt remembrance for the dog, who she revealed used to belong to her husband, fellow actor Matthew Broderick.

“She was Sally,” Parker captioned the photo. “A long time ago. She was like an [sic] old-time vaudeville performer. And deeply serious. She could do tricks and flip before catching a frisbee. Her ears were magnificent when alert. It’s very nice to remember my husband’s first [sic] dog, just a puppy when we met. She passed many, many years ago. They were very attached.”
She signed the caption with her initials,
“X, SJ.”
Her followers were quick to respond by sharing their love for the post and the beautiful dog, including Watch What Happens Live host Andy Cohen commenting, “Sally!”
Parker and Broderick also recently celebrated their oldest son, James Wilkie’s high school graduation. The proud mother snapped up photos of her son all decked out in his graduation robe.
