From Bowling Athlete To Artist, Meet Syaidatul Afifah
After 11 years in the bowling game, 10 pin bowling athlete Syaidatul Afifah announced her retirement from the sport in September 2020.
Despite choosing to close the doors as a national athlete, it seemed that opportunities opened up elsewhere for the athlete that people address as Afifah.
In recent developments, Afifah starred in a drama series titled Ratu Ten Pin or Ten Pin Queen, and what’s even more interesting is that she was given the responsibility to act alongside two other popular figures; Elisya Sandha and Fify Azmi.
“I admit, I have no background whatsoever in the acting industry, but I accepted the opportunity because if not when else will get a chance to act in a drama that is bowling theme.”
Holding the role of Sandra, Afifah admits that the character has really challenged her.
“Even though the role of Sandra is someone who is talented in bowling, her character is completely different from mine. So that is more or less a challenge for me. I’d like to thank everyone including the director and other actors for giving support.”
