Powerhouse singer Adele was accused of sabotaging the sale of a £6m mansion by its owners, who claim that she once said it was haunted.
The award-winning singer was a previous tenant who rented the Lock House in Partridge Green, West Sussex, in 2012.
The owner of the property said that comments made by Adele about the 10-bedroom house being haunted during an interview has severely impacted the selling process. However, the celebrity did not explicitly use the word “haunted” when describing the house.
In an interview with Anderson Cooper when she lived at the property, she said,
“This bit’s all quite scary, really. I’m not rattling around here on my own. It gives me the creeps.”
The Lock House was originally constructed in about 1909 before it underwent a major reconstruction programme in 1940.
