Who’s your favourite friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man?
Andrew Garfield famously put on the Spidey suit for Marc Webb’s The Amazing Spider-Man, but before him it was Tobey Maguire for Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man, and after him is currently Tom Holland for the Marvel Cinematic Universe Spider-Man films.
Garfield and Maguire’s appearance in the MCU’s Spider-Man: No Way Home alongside Holland broke the internet in 2021.
Recently, Garfield sat down with his We Live in Time co-star Florence Pugh (who is also in the MCU as Black Widow), who was quizzed on who she believes is Garfield’s favourite on-screen Spider-Man. Unfortunately, she failed to answer, so Garfield revealed it himself: Toby Maguire.
He explains,
“I was in drama school and I was watching his films as a young impressionable actor and I was like practicing being him. But I love, I think what Tom (Holland) has done is incredible as well. Like, I kind of love them both equally.”
We hope the three Spider-Men reunite again soon!
