There’s a good witch in town!
Ariana Grande is stepping out as Glinda the Good Witch in the big-screen adaptation of Wicked, and to do that, she needed to strip herself off of her pop-star persona.
“I kind of had to completely erase pop star Ari — the person that they know so well because like it’s even harder to believe someone as someone else when you’re so branded as one thing.”
Many people also forget that before she became the pop-star sensation with the iconic ponytail, Grande was on Broadway playing Charlotte in the musical ’13’.
“I am a person who started on Broadway, and I’ve always been a musical theatre person. I’ve always been an actress — I missed acting.”
