
Bersatu associate wing vice-chief R Sri Sanjeevan has demanded that his party colleague, Badrul Hisham Shaharin, apologise over remarks made in a Facebook Live video that allegedly defamed him.
In a letter of demand dated Oct 28, Sanjeevan accused Badrul, better known as Chegubard, of defaming him in a livestream video uploaded on Oct 12.
Sanjeevan said Badrul used derogatory labels against him and also accused him of “spending a lot” of money in Muhyiddin Yassin’s “office” in hopes of exerting influence over the Bersatu president.
He demanded that the Port Dickson Bersatu chief retract the video, issue an apology within 48 hours and also pay him RM1 million in damages for reputational harm.
He said he will file a suit if Badrul fails to comply.
