
Barisan Nasional will contest rural seats in Sabah, while Pakatan Harapan has been tasked with winning urban areas following negotiations for the next state polls, says Umno war room secretariat chief Ahmad Maslan.
The Umno Supreme Council member was quoted as saying the finalised seat allocations send a positive message that the BN-PH tie up is on the right track for the final dash to the Sabah elections.
“I cannot say how many seats have been allocated to BN, because this will be announced by the central leadership,” he was quoted as saying by Harian Metro.
“What I can say is that urban seats belong to PH, whether DAP or PKR, while BN will focus on the rural areas,” he said in Pontian, Johor today.
