Just last month, fans of Green Day in Malaysia were either on the edge of joy or regurgitation with the announcement that Bunkface would open for the iconic punk band at the KL-leg of their Asian tour.
To refresh, Bunkface have been around for many years, but are most known for courting controversy with their anti-LGBT song ‘Akhir Zaman’ and cringe-worthy ‘Malaysia Madani’. (Our Writer attempted to write a review of ‘Akhir Zaman’ when it came out in 2020, and has not recovered since then.)
