Tan Sri Michelle Yeoh’s win for Best Actress at the recent Oscars has sparked almost monotonous celebrations across the nation (save for one local preacher claiming that it was nothing to be proud of due to the lack of religious benefits).
Popular Taiwanese tea drink franchise Gong Cha, on the other hand, is showcasing their pride today through a 1-day-only promo which offers a free upsize on any drink at their Malaysian stores.
Terms and conditions? You must be named Michelle, and prove it via some form of ID.
And no, it doesn’t have to be your IC – a drivers’ license, student ID or office tag would do as well.
The promo was announced on the Gong Cha Facebook page on Tuesday (March 14), and has since drawn loads of attention from netizens, mostly tagging the Michelles they know. Note that the offer is not valid with any on-going promo, discounts and offers, though.
