Ever since Thailand implemented their rule on enabling people to grow cannabis at home, they’ve grown to be one of the biggest tourist hubs in the world.
To aid this, Langkawi will soon be starting a new ferry service linking Kedah’s resort island, Langkawi, and the southern Thai’s Krabi province.
Langkawi Development Authority (Lada) chief executive officer, Nasaruddin Abdul Muttalib said the Langkawi-Koh Lanta ferry service is the latest initiative to boost tourism in both island destinations.
It was discussed during the working visit of Thailand’s Tourism and Sports minister Phiphat Ratchakitprakarn, who led a delegation of 28 officials on Friday.
During the visit, the delegates visited several tourism attractions in Langkawi, namely the MAHA Tower, SkyCab, Mahsuri Tomb and Lang Square.
